Two exciting blog things happened to me last week. First, I was tagged by Megan to do the 7 random things meme. I know a lot of people groan about memes, but I enjoy reading them, and doing them actually reminds me of things that I forgot about myself. Well, maybe not forgot, but things that just aren't on the front burner, yah know?
Here is what I have to do....List 7 Random Facts about Me
Here are the rules (and they must be posted to your blog).
Link
to the person’s blog who tagged you (see above). List seven random
and/or weird facts about yourself. Tag seven random people at the end
of your post and include links to their blogs. Let each person know
that they have been tagged by posting a comment on their blog and also
so they can look at your blog and not tag the same people all over
again!
1. My husband and I met at a root beer party that we threw for one of our friend's birthdays. We were never big drinkers so we'd have root beer parties instead of keggers.
2. Thaya has now reached the age that she doesn't want to be held all the time. In fact, she doesn't want to be held much at all. I'm glad that I held her all the time "just because" when she was an infant, although I still hold her for longer then I need to when she is sleeping just because I want to. I plan on doing the exact same thing with the next baby.
3. I always *think* that I really like Nutella and bananas, and then after having it once I get sick of it. I haven't had it in years.
4. I "lost" the garter at my wedding because I was too embarrassed to do that whole thing. If I had the choice, I'd "loose" it again.
5. 8 is my lucky number, and it is my hubby's bday. My hubby's lucky number is 23, and that is my bday!
6. I can't stand cigarette smoke. I absolutely detest it. I always make nasty remarks when I smell it, especially when we are in a public place where it is inappropriate and *no one* else is smoking. Like in ski lifts or lines at amusement parks, in front of hospital entrances where mommies are coming and going with brand new babies, and at the playground where hundreds of little kids lungs are in danger of second hand smoke. I mean, it is nothing personal, just have some common sense and courtesy, yah know!?
7. I spent the beginning of college going to art school and my "thing" was charcoal portraits and wheel throwing. I always joked that my college education was going towards using dirt to draw the making crockery. I really miss it now. If we win the lottery (I mean, when, or course) I'll totally get back into it. After I'm done having babies, of course.
So, I'm going to tag:
Wendy & Karen
Steph
Amanda Cathleen
Sue
Megan
Aimee
Erin
And, any other friends who are out there who I didn't list :)
The second exciting thing is that I was nominated for a little award! How exciting. I'll have to do that at another time though cause I really should be playing with my munchkin right now, although she is pretty content wobbling around on her own. I'll write more about that on her blog.
