You mean, what didnt we do?! (Warning, very little knitting info to follow!)
We woke up REALLY earlier on Saturday morning to make sure we wouldn't miss our flight.
Why did we go to sleep at all? Good question.
Anyway, once we got moving, we started to get excited.
Now, since we left the house so earlier (I dont need to go over the reasoning again... read my last post), we arrived at the check in counter before it opened. We weren't the only crazies the only ones who planned ahead that morning. There was quiet a line.
As a side note - when I get excited I get the hiccups. I'd already had them 3 times by this point.
Anyways, we got there and were happy as any delirious zombie floating around on no sleep would be clams. See, totally excited!
We spent the day at Downtown Disney and at the Boardwalk because we didnt want to use up any of our Park Hopper Pass just yet. It was a good choice because it was a free day and it was VERY romantic. We're talking more than our honeymoon. We're talking walking around taking in these amazing sites with hardly anyone around us. Birds singing, music playing, cool breeze, blue skies, holding hands, LOVE in the air...
Day 2 was just as exciting.
We spent our time at Magic Kingdom. We mingled with the stars, went on all the rides (though I did have nightmares from the Haunted House for two nights following our time there), and ate some great food!
Heres a picture of the family visiting with goofy:
From Left to Right: (Top) Amanda, Nate, Goofy, Meg, Matt, Mom, Dad
(Bottom) Gracie, Maddie
I love Goofy.
By the way, Chip, Dale, Buzz, Tigger, Pooh, and Pinnocio all kissed me. Not at the same time silly!
Day 3 was a blast.
We made friends with the locals,
Making sure to follow local customs - didn't want to stand out...And totally devoured the delicious food! I love citrus couscous, and of course...
who can say "no" to a French Pastry??
Day 4 and the fun kept coming...
Hello MGM!We had a ton of fun with my folks on this day. We had lunch at the Brown Derby (If you dont know what the Brown Derby is, you are missing out. It is elegant, full of action and drama, and soaking in history. Oh yea, the food it really good too). We also did the shows (IE Indiana Jones and some car show thing), and every single ride. Oh my gosh I did the Tower of Terror and I loved every single second of it!
Day 5 and still going strong...
We were back to Epcot! We finished up the rides we had missed (including Test Track... where we saw Payton and Eli Manning!! You know, the quarterback brothers who play for the Colts and the GIants respectively! We have the pictures to prove it... they just came out a little blurry because we were so shocked to see them... I swear its them)...
We really had an excellent day. Moving on...
Day 6 we were starting to get a little tired but that didnt stop us!
We spent the morning at Typhoon Lagoon soaking up rays and playing in the water. It was so much fun, though DH did get a little fried. In the afternoon we spent some time at Fantasia Mini Golf! So much fun!Enough to make even the most burned men smile!
I mean... Hippos on Gators!
Only at Disney!
Day 7 - Last Day at Disney...But we didnt let that stop us from having FUN!
Knitting News: I messed up and fixed my snowdrop shawl. I've managed to get to the end (but when to far so now I have to unknit 8 rows...) now just to add the lace edging...
Started another pair of socks. Can you guys recommend your favorite sock needles? I'm tired of the wooden ones bending a breaking. Any plastic or metal ones out there?
I'd love to do some fair isle. Preferably mittens. Any suggestions of a good book and yarn? I'm thinking something from knit picks but feel totally in the dark on this one...
Happy Knitting, and thanks for reading!
