If you still read my blog, thanks! If not, boy, you are missing out and you'll never even know it.
Quick life update:
I'm now a Preschool teacher. Believe it or not, I was sober when I came up with the idea of being in charge of 23 four and five-year-olds. Since I have a moment, and I've already sucked you in with my astonishingly witty post, I'm sure you want to know more.
Well, about a month ago I started. The room was previously being run by two women who were doing absolutely nothing with the children. That means that I came into the room after 9 months of bad habits had been fully established. These children don't know their letters or numbers. They can't blow their noses. They pee on the seat. They step on books and throw toys. They hit, they scream, they run around the cramped room, and they taddle tale. A LOT. Its obnoxious, but that word is not in their limited vocabulary.
"Rude" is. I based an entire lesson plan around it one day.
Anyway, I come in, young, naive, straight out of college. I have high hopes and big dreams. Well, things aren't going EXACTLY as planned; however, they are going well. The kids are starting to listen and I can actually get their attention now by slamming a tambourine against my leg. Progress!
Knitting wise, I've been doing nothing! Its true! My husband and I drive an hour each way to work. We are desperately searching for a home close to work so we can stop the commute! I'm just so darn tired when I get home I can't do anything. I wake up at 5am and go to sleep at 9am (I'm a witch with less than 8 hours of sleep). I get home at 5:30 every evening which leaves me 3.5 hours. I eat, prepare for my next day at school, read and go to sleep.
OK OK enough about this garbage.
I know its a little late but OMG HOW MUCH FUN WAS MD S&W?!?!? I thought it was awesome. I wanted to see all my blogging friends, but I missed all of them by a few minutes :( BUT! I did run into an unexpected buddy!
Knittikins was there! What a wonderful surprise! I couldn't believe it!
Lisa is one of my all time favorite bloggers. I can totally relate to her and I love how she finds humor in all the ridiculous things that life presents us. Her cats also look and act like mine. We even have similar hair cuts. I bet people would mix us up if they didn't know better - even our blog names are similar! Anyway, here we are. Please ignore the possessed look I have on my face. I used to squint in pictures and it looked stupid. Now I try to keep my eyes nice and wide. It makes me look scary, not cute.
Well, I have some other pictures but I'm getting tired. Only 2 more hours until I go to bed and I still haven't had dinner. I hope you guys continue reading. Please don't give up on me.
I'll keep you posted on the house hunt. We had found a truly fabulous one, but to make a long story short we didn't get it, even with an offer of asking price!
Happy Knitting!
