7 Months

There are a lot of things that I can do now at 7 months that I was unable to do at 6.  Many of these things happened within the past week!

As Dr. B says,

I have completed "phase one" in self beautification.

I am also a big fan of my mesh feeder.

My mommy puts lots of foods in it that I'm not old enough to eat yet, like teething biscuits and big chunks of fruit.  I love munching on the mesh, and it is such a relief to my sore, swollen gums.  I've cut my two bottom teeth and I'm working on my top ones.  It will be a race between the front and laterals.  Both have bumps showing already!

I'm also crawling, and pushing myself up to sitting.  I love crawling to my toys, and crawling to Mama and Dada for cuddles.

I'm saying "Mama", and "Dada", and I'm starting to learn who they are and that I can call them by saying those words at the right time.  Though I'm not very good at saying "Hi", I've got the /h/ down and make the sound while I wave.  When I see people clapping or hear people say "yay!" I clap too!  I also say "yay" but it comes out like a high pitch squeel.  I also love to give Mommy and Daddy "high-fives".

My favorite game is the various renditions of "peek-a-boo"  I love having a towel or blanket over my face and then mommy and daddy lift it up fast.  It is SO funny!  I also get very concerned when my toys "disappear".  Mommy is very good at finding them.  And finally, I love looking for the kitty cats.  Whenever my mommy says "where's the kitty?" I know to look around for them.  They already have realized I'm mobile, and don't stay in one place for too long.

I think the best part of being 7 months old is that since I am crawling and pushing myself to sitting, I know I can get my hands on anything that I want if I'm quick enough.  The world has really opened up to me :)

Well, I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving.  We're spending it at Granna's house.  I get to see Uncle Roger, Uncle Mike, Aunt Jackie, Grandy, Granna, and my Great Grandmother.  I'm sad that I won't be able to see Nana, Grandpa and Uncle Justin this week, but I'm looking forward to seeing them soon.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
