I think the thing I love most about summer is that the season not only supports, but encourages, random acts of fun and excitement. For example, an early nap allows us to forget about all the laundry and run to the store for a new dolly...

After picking up the new dolly (or two. or five. and some tutus, fairy headbands, and other exciting accessories), its time for dinner, so why not just walk next store and get some soup and sandwiches? Because really, what's an afternoon trip to the store if you don't turn it into a dinner date with "the girls"?

And, it just so happens that "the girls" had so much sugar between the tootsie roll pop and the frozen lemonade that after dinner they needed to burn it off. A quick peek around back leads to the discovery of fountains, kids, splashing, screaming, and general fun-having. How could we say "no"?
