Seamless Yoked Baby Sweater

Finally, a WIP to talk about. I found this pattern on Ravelry when I was trying to figure out what to do with 3 balls of DB baby cashmerino. When I saw that one person made the sweater and a hat out of just three balls, I knew it was meant to be.
This sweater has been a breeze to knit. When I first cast on, I didn't realize it was a top down. I kept thinking to myself, "I know newborns are tiny, but this waist seems really really small!" I soon realized that the "waist" was actually the "neck", and started thinking that maybe this sweater will actually be rather big!
I'd say I'm about 1/2 way done - I just have to finish up the bottom and add the arms. Since there is no seaming, I'll just weave in the ends, block this puppy, and add some cute buttons. Perfect for a September baby!
I did some observations for school yesterday, and while there, one of the teachers came up to me and started talking to me about the sweater. I told her it was for my baby girl that is expected in early September. She looked at the sweater, then at me, and with a blank expression with just a twist of attitude she said, "But why brown?"
I think the hormones are getting to me this pregnancy. I've been captain mood swing, protecting the world from evil with the perfect timing of "the look". With a sugary sweet smile and a hint of insult I said, "Why not brown?"
Yea! why not brown?!?!

This sweater is beautiful!!! Amazing knitting.
And I LOVE the color.

when I first saw the sweater I thought, ooohhh I do love that shade of brown! I ordered some brown cascade 220 for a sweater for Kailey. I agree with Granna, the brown sweater is going to look adorable layered over all the pink!

Love the sweater, what a great pattern. I like brown on girls and I think it is very modern to use those colors rather than pastels all the time.

that's not pregnancy hormones, that was so rude of her to say!!! I bought a gold car once, its a beutiful inca gold color. Its bright but not a bright yellow, its hard to explain the color but its pretty (I think). I can't tell you how many bullshit comments I recieved such as "why did you pick that color?". "BECAUSE I HATED IT AND WANTED TO MAKE MYSELF MISRABLE EVERY DAY". OMG, then another guy at work once told me it was the ugliest color car he had ever seen. WTF!!!!
