SAHM

Thaya and I had a pretty good day today.  She took a long morning nap, which usually means she wants to skip her afternoon nap.  Well, that usually means that she won't sleep well at night and will wake up early, so I was determined to get her active so she'd still want her nap.  We headed to the park for some fun.  After my walk, we played on the equipment for awhile and headed home.  Sure enough, she crashed, but not for long.  She woke up, and proceeded to cry all evening.

We made it through dinner, one painful bite at a time.  After hardly eating anything, I started the water for her bath and stripped her down.  I then realized I needed a clean towel, ugh!  I put her in her crib and ran down the hall for a second.  Do you see where this is going?  By the time I came back, she had managed to poop on her (clean) sheets.

Of course she did.

What did I do?  Did a quick clean of her, put her on the ground (she already pooped in her crib, I was pretty confident that I'd be able to "catch" it if it happened again), changed the sheets, and got her in the bath right when the tub was finished filling.  We then sang rubber ducky and got squeaky clean.

The point of this story?

I love being a SAHM.  This is what I'm meant to do.  Sure, on a different day if she looks at me the wrong way I flinch and curse in my head or go into the other room and scream into a pillow... but when it comes down to it, I suck it up, roll with it, all the while with a smile on my face.

You are going to laugh so hard about that in a few years! Corra pooped in the tub when she was a baby. *L* It was interesting trying to figure out the best way to clean that one up! I'm going to enjoy telling her that story when she is a teenager. hehehe.
Being a SAHM is the best job I have ever had. Kids are so much fun!

Wow - you are so right! "but when it comes down to it, I suck it up, roll with it, all the while with a smile on my face" hits the nail on the head!!!!!!!!
