Yes!

I am *so* excited.  On Feb. 20th Martha is having an all hand knits show.  Guess who got tickets!!  I can't believe it.  Now I just need to decide what to bring to work on and what to bring to show.  Maybe I'll bring Thaya's baptism set and work on the Hemlock Ring Blanket?  I'm just not sure, I can't decide!  Oh my goodness.

Forget about the knitting, what am I going to wear?  I may have a little bump by then... Hmmmmm... only 3 weeks to figure this out?!

I was supposed to have an u/s that day.  Something's got to give, and it ain't gonna be Martha!  Sorry babes, mama's got priorities!

Hey Mommies...

I just wanted to share this link with you.  It has some great information, and you could get a BPA free sippy cup out of reading it :)

Enjoy!

And, by the way, you're all right on the exciting news :)  Hence my lack of blogging.  I'm exhausted.  I'm going to try to up my posts, but honestly, I really don't have much to share.  Not much knitting, reading, or even cooking.  I can't wait 'til this passes!

Just don't feel like it

First of all, free Babylegs give away... check it out!

So, I've been lazy lately.  I'm going to try to sidetrack you by showing you cute pictures every now

and then.  So, we had a great holiday.  We spent New Year's in VT, which was also a lot of fun.  The day we were leaving, Thaya got a virus and spent most of the drive home throwing up.  It wasn't fun.  Then, of course, I got the virus and spent all night Thursday throwing up.  That wasn't fun either.  Luckily, my loving husband came to our rescue.

I did get some exciting news on the 1st day of the New Year... very exciting news.  But, I can't tell you about it yet.  Be patient!  Here, let me sidetrack you...

Looks nice but I had to frog it because the needles I used were too big and I ran out of wool when I was about 2 rows from casting off.  After a very heated discussion with this project, we decided it would be better if we just ended it.  Maybe we'll try again.  Who knows.  Unfortunately, I haven't really felt like knitting much lately.  DH got me some Regia silk sock yarn for xmas to make the embossed leaves socks from the interweave knits sock book (yea, boring... I didn't link and don't have any pictures.  did you read the title of the post? I'm lazy).  I've managed to get through the first and to the short rows on the heel for the second.  I should jsut suck it up but, say it with me,

I just don't feel like it.

Here, quick, a picture...

I guess there is a little bit more to the story, but that is also boring.  I lost the card reader for my nice camera and Vista doesn't support it so i can't plug it directly into the laptop.  So, no knitting pictures.  Here, I'll give you a hint to the exciting news, because we all know that I secretly want to tell everyone...

And just email me if you figured it out.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go change another poopie diaper.  Does anyone else feel like they are going to be changing diapers for the rest of their lives?

One more thing... it cracks me up that munchkin is just crawling around the living room right now  "clicking" her tongue to "you ain't seen nothing yet" and pulling up on furniture.

She looked at me with those big brown eyes and said...

SAHM

Thaya and I had a pretty good day today.  She took a long morning nap, which usually means she wants to skip her afternoon nap.  Well, that usually means that she won't sleep well at night and will wake up early, so I was determined to get her active so she'd still want her nap.  We headed to the park for some fun.  After my walk, we played on the equipment for awhile and headed home.  Sure enough, she crashed, but not for long.  She woke up, and proceeded to cry all evening.

We made it through dinner, one painful bite at a time.  After hardly eating anything, I started the water for her bath and stripped her down.  I then realized I needed a clean towel, ugh!  I put her in her crib and ran down the hall for a second.  Do you see where this is going?  By the time I came back, she had managed to poop on her (clean) sheets.

Of course she did.

What did I do?  Did a quick clean of her, put her on the ground (she already pooped in her crib, I was pretty confident that I'd be able to "catch" it if it happened again), changed the sheets, and got her in the bath right when the tub was finished filling.  We then sang rubber ducky and got squeaky clean.

The point of this story?

I love being a SAHM.  This is what I'm meant to do.  Sure, on a different day if she looks at me the wrong way I flinch and curse in my head or go into the other room and scream into a pillow... but when it comes down to it, I suck it up, roll with it, all the while with a smile on my face.
