ZzzZZzzz

Img_1120Right now, if you weigh less than 20 lbs at our house, you are taking a nap.  All three kitties and one baby girl are all snuggled up on the bed getting some Zs.  And since little one is being kind enough to do this, I was able to take a few pictures of my knitting.  Because, you know, this is like, a knitting blog, and stuff.

So, here you are!

Img_1123Pattern: Bow-tied Bolero from Debbie Bliss's Special Knits
Size: 6 - 9 months
Yarn: 3 balls of Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino in Apple Green
Needles: US 3
Started April 18, 2007 // Finished May 3, 2007

It was a fast and easy knit.  I love the feel of this yarn for the price.  Can't beat machine washable for a baby :)

Img_1121Since baby girl was kind enough to snooze for a couple of hours, I finished up her bonnet for her Baptism on July 1.  I'm not posting a finished product for 2 reasons.  1)  I want people to "oooh" and "aaaah" at how good she looks in her hand knits at the baptism, and a lot of the people who will be there read this blog.  2) the bonnet has the fit that I like now, so I didn't weave in the ends or detach it from the ball yet because I think that I may find myself making it bigger in mid June.  I guess I could block it and really stretch it out...  anyway, its not an official FO just yet.

I just want to say something real quick... I get a lot of "reply" emails for the comments that I leave on other people's blogs.  I always think that it is so nice that the author's of these blogs take the time to respond when they have the chance (it isn't all the time, but just enough for me to think, "wow, that was really nice!").  Well, I always thought it was a feature of other blogs... a feature that typepad didn't have.  Well, since I'm not pregnant anymore, I'm a little bit more "on the ball".  Yea, that's right.  I hit "reply" and imagine that... I can reply to your comments.  So, I hope you don't think that I have been taking your comments for granted... I love to hear from you, and now I can let you know that!

Img_0052And, I want to know... is it just me, or does her hair look a little red?  It is definitely growing in blonde, but I swear to you, in some light it really looks red.  She has the coloring for it.  Man, imagine if I have a blue eyed, red haired baby!

Comments

i love the green you used on the borelo. I can't wait to see her bonnet, it looks adorable.
it took me a long time to find out how to reply to comments on my blogspirit blog! So don't feel bad
