We found a house and put in a bid! The homeowners countered with something a little higher - we instantly accepted it.
The house is not really the type of house I'd pictured myself wanting. Its a bi-level. That should explain why. But, there are a few things about it that REALLY attracted me to it. For example, it sits on a lot that is 3/4 of an acre with a pond. Behind the property is protected farm land which means that it will never be built on. Across the street is a nursery. The house is surrounded by horse farms. ALSO, down the street there is a lady who owns about 10 sheep. I saw them playing in her backyard the other day. And, get this: when we went to take another peak at the house yesterday, I saw FIELDS (please note that there is an "S" on the end of that word) full of sheep. Yes, this really is meant to be.
The house is not very big, but it has some potential. It is also in really good condition with newly updated everything because the homeowners weren't expecting to move. That has benefits.
It is 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom with a kitchen, living room, dining room, family room, and big ass garage. The main bathroom has a jet tub in it. Yes, this house just gets better and better. There is a huge deck that spans the entire back of the house on the top level. the order of the rooms on that back part is dining room, kitchen, bathroom, then master bedroom. there are sliding doors onto the deck from both the living room and master bedroom. I am very very excited. The rooms feel small, but we don't have a lot of stuff so that is ok. It just means that all of the space in the house is going to be useable, which I like. What's the point in having a big beautiful dining room and living room if all you are going to do is use the bedroom, kitchen and den? Thats right!
Knitting news - nothing doing. I do plan on finishing that baby sweater today, but we'll see. It supposed to be sunny and beautiful so I may opt to lay outside in the sun and read instead.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend :)
